1. From 1 September 2029, producers shall have extended producer responsibility for vehicles that they make available on the market for the first time within the territory of a Member State, including where the vehicle has previously been made available on the market in a Member State other than the Member State within whose territory the vehicle is made available. The extended producer responsibility scheme shall be consistent with Articles 8 and 8a of Directive 2008/98/EC and shall comply with the requirements of this Chapter.
