Article 5t is amended as follows: the following paragraph is inserted: ‘3a. By way of derogation from paragraph 1, the competent authorities may authorise, under such conditions as they deem appropriate, the acceptance of donations, economic benefits or support, including financing and financial assistance, by the European X-Ray Free-Electron Laser Facility (EuXFEL), the Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe (FAIR) and the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), provided that such donations, economic benefits or support, including financing and financial assistance, are based on international agreements with the Government of the Russian Federation.’ ; paragraph 4 is replaced by the following: ‘4. The Member State concerned shall inform the other Member States and the Commission of any authorisation granted under paragraph 3 or 3a, within two weeks of the authorisation.’ ;
