General information

CaO (also called lime or quicklime) may take the form of odourless crystals, white or greyish- white lumps, or granular powder. The commercial material may have a yellowish or brownish tint because of its iron content. Ca(OH)2 (also called hydrated lime) is a soft white, powder or granule and non-combustible.
