In addition to Article 5(3) of the UCPD, children benefit from specific protection through the ban on direct exhortations in Annex I No 28 to the UCPD. This ban, which includes putting pressure on children to buy a product directly or to persuade adults to buy items for them (the ‘pester power’), is further discussed in section 3.7.
