Schedule 5, Part I, paragraph 1(4)

If for any reason any such member as is mentioned in sub-paragraph (3) above is appointed on or after the day on which he ought to have come into office, he shall— come into office on the day on which he is appointed; and subject to the following provisions of this Schedule, hold office for the remainder of the term.
