Schedule 5, Part 1, paragraph 3(1)

In this Schedule “domestic enforcer” means— the Competition and Markets Authority, a local weights and measures authority in Great Britain, a district council in England, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment in Northern Ireland, a district council in Northern Ireland, the Secretary of State, the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority, the Department for Infrastructure in Northern Ireland, the Utility Regulator in Northern Ireland, the Civil Aviation Authority, for the purposes of the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 (S.I. 2018/634), the British Hallmarking Council, an assay office within the meaning of the Hallmarking Act 1973, or any other person to whom the duty in subsection (1) of section 27 of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (duty to enforce safety provisions) applies by virtue of regulations under subsection (2) of that section.
